“The Seasons” follows one of my Original Characters named Bethany Walker, who is a natural brown-haired girl but dyes her hair pastel purple. She is one of seven sisters which are septuplets. Their parents thought it might be the easiest when they name their daughters in alphabetical order. And on top of that Bethany and her sisters thought it would be funny if they dye their hair in the different colours of the rainbow and everyone can choose their favourite one. Aubrey has red hair, Bethany has purple hair and since Celine and Delia are the only ones who look identical they broke down the colour blue into cyan blue for Celine and indigo blue for Delia. Furthermore, Eloise has green hair, Felicity has yellow hair and lastly Georgiana has orange dyed hair.
My main inspiration for the format comes from a German children’s book named “Sternenschweif”. It was the very first book series that I actively followed and read. It had some pages of text telling the story and after that an illustration follows showing the current scenario. Therefore, my fi rst original idea was to illustrate a story as well, but I realized that I have more fun writing poems due to the variety and options since writing one story is often tiring to me. I always enjoyed writing stories and poems and therefore I decided to combine my two main interests.
