The main reference on which this is leaning, is the painting ‘Der heliliage Antonius von Damonen gepeinigt’ or “Saint Anthony, tormented by demons”. The painting shows the biblical subject, painted with oil on Pinewood, from the 16th Century.
To me, art is something very personal and I wanted to make this project not only about pushing myself forward in terms of my career goals and developing artistic skills, but also about how my character has developed over time.
I also found it quite a pleasant coincidence when I realized, how well my personal interests get along with the story this project is telling, since it is about a girl becoming friends and family with the demons that were meant to devour her. The demons shaped her life path as well as her personality and artistic career.
