Josh is a highly technical and multitalented artist with a clear industry focus and an impressive range of contributions across game design, visual effects, and hard surface asset creation. Throughout the year, he has consistently brought a high level of detail and precision to his work—particularly within prop design, texturing, and shading—while actively sharing his process through Rushes, peer feedback, and community engagement.
Josh's Final Major Project centres on the creation of a Cyberpunk 2077-inspired motorbike, reimagining a Harley Davidson Fat Bob 2020 as a game-ready asset. Two distinct versions were developed: a clean, stock model and a stylised, modified variant inspired by the chaotic flair of Jinx from Arcane. Both models are supported by a fully realised workshop environment, developed in response to industry feedback highlighting the value of scene-building alongside prop design.
Driven by a strong sense of narrative storytelling through materiality, Josh’s work explores wear, tear, and environmental storytelling as critical elements in visual immersion. His goal to use texture as narrative shows a mature understanding of visual storytelling, referencing industry benchmarks like CD Projekt Red and Sucker Punch. Alongside his creative ambition, Josh has made substantial technical progress—upskilling in UV mapping, baking, and optimisation to meet studio standards.
With a clear path towards a junior role in asset modelling and a longer-term vision of cinematic storytelling, Josh has shown both the focus and adaptability needed to succeed in a competitive industry.
