Joseph journey into his final major project (FMP) has helped him develop his skills with a focus on becoming an environment artist. Fascinated by the immersive worlds of video games, Joseph aims to bring his unique vision to life by creating intricate and captivating environments. His FMP revolves around the creation of a diorama centered on a citadel perched on a floating island, surrounded by smaller floating islands that appear to have been pulled from various points in space and time.
Joseph's has spent this year developing hard surface modeling and texturing skills, alongside creating a diorama of culture with a narrative open to interpretation for the viewer. Inspired by the floating islands in World of Warcraft and the enchanting visuals of Avatar, Joseph's project captures the magical essence of these inspirations. This project is rendered in Unreal Engine 5.3, and evolved into creating two islands with assets - creating a visually appealing and magical world. Please see some of his artwork below:

"Trying to keep the stylised art choice, scales, dents, cracks and wear and tear were added to
the textures for this asset. This creates more of a history for the asset, and shows that it is
certainly not new. The scales also mimic that of a lizard, one of the closest things to exist to a
real life dragon"
