BA (Hons) CGI and Visual Effects
Specialism – 3d Artist / Motion Graphics / VFX
Jimani's final major project (FMP) is a culmination of her passion for VFX and 3D motion graphics, through the creation of an ambitious title sequence creation. Finding solace and freedom in the versatility of techniques like typography, 3D CGI, and VFX, Jimani's project centers on crafting her own sequence, serving as a base for experimentation with each of the above. The aim is to not only demonstrate technical ability but also to evoke depth and visual storytelling akin to the transformative impact observed in the works of graphic designer Saul Bass, alongside films like "Vertigo."
Throughout this project, Jimani has been exploring to strike a balance between creative freedom and practicality. Drawing inspiration from past innovators, this project uses some downloaded assets to explore the craft of motion graphics and more importantly the world of visual storytelling.

The plan, like the balls in the atrium, was to make this animated to make the bar feel less static. Production on this was very similar to that of making the chairs and bar stools, a lower polygon version was made first and extrusions, chamfers and turbosmooths were used to make it to the level of details that was required to fit with the scene.
“Finding a particular anchor point to follow, a text later was imported and then connected to the anchor point so that the text would follow the camera movement as if it was originally part of the setting. A pixelated font was chosen to further implement the cyber game play theme as well as a shadow effect and glow to create the holographic sense of style."
