Jack's final year project delves into diverse creative styles, aiming to craft several models with realistic and cartoonist texturing. Through experimentation with software like ZBrush for weathering and Maya for mechanical parts, Jack aspires build a solid hard surface portfolio. His career aspirations lean towards roles in 3D modeling, with an eye on progression from junior to lead positions.
The project's pre-production phase focuses on skill development in modeling, unwrapping, texturing, and rendering, aiming to bridge the gap to industry standards. Mini-projects serve as stepping stones, each addressing specific skill gaps and culminating in iterative feedback loops. Moving into the main project, Jack has developed some of the assets that you can see below.
