Specialism – Architectural Visualisation
This project was at the end of my university journey and my final chance in education to produce a piece of work that shows the skills required for a junior architectural visualizer position at a company. Once the project had been decided upon it was now time to research what house would be modelled, this is extremely important to determine all the possible camera angles that could be used, it would also show off different skills coinciding on what house was chosen for this project.
Based on that, a house was found that fit all the criteria (McLeod Bovell Modern Houses, 2022).
However, as shown by the photos, its built onto the side of the cliff (FIG 1), because of that, the characteristics of the house are suited to that environment, to make the house suited for what was required for this project, a second house that is already in the correct location was found to use as a reference (MCNULTY-KOWAL, 2022) for the back of the house a deck was added to complete the house. In industry there would not be this freedom, but for this project it made sense do this to ensure the best house was chosen for the project
