ELIZAVETA BONDARENKO  |  BA (Hons) CGI and Visual Effects
Specialism – VFX Artist
Elizaveta is a visual effects artist with IMDb credits for her compositing work on the feature film Gallowmere, and further professional experience on an external horror feature, contributing to over 100 cleanup and screen replacement shots in a single week. She specialises in compositing for film, with a focus on roto and prep, 3D tracking, cleanup, and keying.
Her final year project reflects a structured response to VFX industry expectations for junior compositing roles. Through a series of mini-projects, Elizaveta explored core compositing techniques including advanced rotoscoping (manual, plugin-assisted, and Adobe Roto Brush), keying and face tracking in Nuke using KeenTools, and matte painting in 3D space with Maya and Nuke.
Her Final Major Project evolved into a three-shot narrative sequence set in a post-apocalyptic world, combining original footage with CG elements and effects such as disintegration created in After Effects and Blender. The project showcases her practical understanding of matchmoving, particle simulation, and grading, culminating in a polished compositing showreel breakdown.
Elizaveta’s creative inspirations include fantasy epics like The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, which have shaped her goal of mastering seamless CG integration. She is also deeply interested in Virtual Production, inspired by behind-the-scenes insights into House of the Dragon, and is keen to work on-set in VP environments as a VFX artist.
Her technical toolkit includes Nuke, DaVinci Resolve, Maya, Unreal Engine, Blender, and various specialist plugins. Her planned portfolio will feature 5–6 diverse projects showcasing a breadth of compositing workflows, with 1–2 collaborative pieces to highlight teamwork and pipeline adaptability. Elizaveta’s work shows a solid understanding of both the technical precision and artistic intuition required in high-end visual effects
