Daniel Dabowski  |  BA (Hons) CGI and Visual Effects
Specialism – Architectural Visualisation
Daniel Dabkowski’s final year has been all about pushing his skills in architectural visualisation, building on a successful work placement year with Visual House where he spent time mastering his skills within a professional pipeline for Visualisation work. The final year of Dan's degree has been a clear focus on real-time rendering in Unreal Engine, and a careful & methodical approach to asset prep in 3ds Max.
His final project revolves around a beautifully executed interactive architectural walkthrough. It’s clean, well thought-out, and built around a solid pipeline. Built around cleaned up CAD data, including scaling and organising before sending via 3DS Max, this has been followed with well-managed Datasmith exports and a focused developed setup in Unreal. Following industry standards, naming conventions, material logic, and user experience are key to this deliverable throughout.
The result is a confident, interactive scene that feels both polished and technically solid. He’s built in a range of user interactions—from light switches and video playback to material switching—all of which point are parts of Dan's Unreal Engine pipeline for Viz work alongside his industry practise and understanding of how users might navigate a space.
Daniel’s been a consistent and thoughtful presence in the Solent studio. He’s generous with his time, always willing to support others, and is always keen to explore new tools and workflows, such as RailClone, Forest Pack, and advanced Blueprint logic. He works with a clear focus and shows a strong understanding of industry practices. Check out the final work below:
