Specialism – VFX Artist / Particles / After Effects / Indie Film-Maker
The premise is based around an unknown energy source, that merges with a human host. Whilst the protagonist tries to understand what's happened, there are other worldly beings on the hunt for what he now posses.
For this project I wanted to push my limits to create a limitless sequence; something that you don’t typically see every day. The reason I love Visual Effects is because if you can use the tools, the possibilities are infinite.
Whilst heading in to this project, the key focus was on the energy interaction shot and the teleport in and explosion runaway sequence. These were planned to be the ‘wow’ shots of the trailer; as demonstrated by companies such as Marvel, you need to include some of the key plot points to sell the film. Huge inspiration was taken from the Avengers Infinity War (Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War Official Trailer, 2017) trailer. Techniques will be demonstrated in the final trailer, with a huge focus on Rhythmic Editing
