Abe Naisent  |  BA (Hons) CGI and Visual Effects
Specialism – VFX Artist / Generalist  /all around whizz-kid!
Abe leaves us with a truly impressive and diverse portfolio spanning film production, editing, web development, social media, VFX, and fashion. He has worked with a number of students, studios and has even worked on a BAFTA nominated film, alongside his own production he is currently working on! as a part of this, he has earned IMDb credits for his work on numerous short films, including international exposure on a recent Hindi horror film. Abe's technical approach to his Final Major Project, driven by a clear vision for a career in a small, imaginative creative advertising agency, showcases his ambition to blend diverse skills with strong creative input.
With a background in both visual storytelling and technical execution, Abe’s work bridges the gap between creativity and craft. His final major project—a short film written, directed, and produced by him—brought together a 30+ person team and featured ambitious VFX sequences.  His project, a narrative short film he wrote, produced, and directed, served as the perfect vehicle to push the boundaries of his VFX abilities. Focusing on two highly detailed shots—one involving an actor falling through a ceiling using 3D scanning, digital doubles, and ragdoll/rigid body simulations, and another on AI-powered relighting—Abe meticulously combined technical research with practical execution. He innovatively experimented with new tools like Switchlight and Normality, demonstrating his commitment to achieving festival-ready quality visuals while addressing specific skill gaps. This ambitious project not only highlights his technical prowess and problem-solving skills but also his broader aspiration to become a film and creative director with a strong VFX foundation, capable of enhancing storytelling through seamless and engaging visual effects.  The film is currently being developed for festival release.
Alongside his film work, Abe has served as a VFX artist and supervisor on a range of music videos and award-winning short films. He’s particularly drawn to work that blends grounded storytelling with stylistic visual effects, and aims to continue building a career as a creative director with a strong VFX backbone.
